Vision Research Foundation is a registered charitable trust CC59798 established by a generous donation of a NZ philanthropist. Vision Research Foundation empowers bright researchers to transform human health through bold, paradigm-shifting discoveries in vision science.
A charitable trust is an organisation that holds and protects assets (money, property, etc) for charitable purposes. The trust’s assets are managed according to the purpose set out in a trust deed, or an agreed set of rules.
Donations go towards supporting NZ researchers pursuing visionary ideas in our research arms.
Vision Research Foundation is involved with four key research arms; Oculomics, Glaucoma, Neurological Disease and Community Engagement
You can contact us to arrange a meeting to discuss your donation to a specific research arm or to the Vision Research Foundation general fund. You can donate on our website, either aa a one off, monthly, or annual donation. Your donation can be in memory or in celebration. You can also read give money or possessions in your Will to Vision Research Foundation.
Vision Research Foundation supports bold, visionary ideas that shift paradigms and challenge established thinking. These types of research are often underfunded by traditional grants.
Our purpose is to transform the lives by supporting bold, cross-sectoral vision research that disrupts current paradigms, improves human health, and empowers under-served communities.
Vision research foundation was established with the generosity of a NZ philanthropist. The scientific Director is Professor Helen Danesh Meyer, the Board Chair is Neil Richardson, and the third trustee is Dr. Hannah Kersten.
