VRF Empowering Future Leaders in Partnership with Rotary
Vision Research Foundation is delighted to announce our recent contribution to Rotary RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards), aimed at nurturing the leadership potential of young individuals.
In our ongoing commitment to fostering growth, empowerment, and positive change, we have proudly donated to the Rotary RYLA program to support Jodeci-Maki (Joe) Ropati Aviu a young leader in the making to participate in their transformative leadership course.
This initiative resonates deeply with our values as we believe in the power of investing in young talents and providing them with opportunities to blossom into impactful leaders.
The Rotary RYLA program has a proven track record of instilling leadership skills, self-confidence, and community engagement in young minds. Both Vision Research Foundation and Rotary RYLA are united in our dedication to fostering the next generation of leaders who will drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
We look forward to witnessing the remarkable achievements of the young RYLA graduates. Together, with Rotary we are creating a legacy of leadership, positivity, and community-driven impact that will continue to shine brightly for generations.
Jodeci-Maki (Joe) Ropati Aviu

Meet the RYLA candidate, Jodeci-Maki Ropati Aviu, affectionately known as Joe! At 25, when he is not working in the Weighing Solutions industry he is tearing up the rugby league and touch fields.
Hailing from a mix of Samoan, Cook Island, and NZ European roots, Joe’s heart is in community service, something he gets to actively demonstrate through his membership with the Auckland Airport Rotary Club.
He fine-tuned his leadership skills at the RYLA 23’ Leadership Program, where he discovered the art of leading by example. Joe’s found his leadership style is to listen rather than talk, and he believes that actions speak louder than words.
Joe said RYLA was “An experience I will cherish forever” , and he has forged lifelong friendships. He is very grateful to the Vision Research Foundation for an experience that will shape his life journey for years to come.
We wish Joe the very best for the furture and we look forward to watching him soar.
